movies I've seen lately

These past 2 days,I was in the mood for movies. a lot of movies. and I still want to see more. especially since this list came out. The 3 films that I saw last night were wonderful. I watched 'Gia', 'Girl with a Pearl Earring' and 'Frida' and, honestly, I couldn't pick a favourite.

        1. 'Gia'

I loved this movie because before seeing it I didn't know much about Gia Carangi and also because I was mesmerized by the way Angelina Jolie played her role.

favourite quote: " Life and death, energy and peace. If I stop today it was still worth it. Even the terrible mistakes that I made and would have unmade if I could. The pains that have burned me and scarred my soul, it was worth it, for having been allowed to walk where I've walked, which was to hell on earth, heaven on earth, back again, into, under, far in between, through it, in it, and above."

          my rating: 8/10

         2. 'Girl with a Pearl Earring'

I've never seen Scarlett Johansson play the role of a humble, candid woman. She's usually the hot blonde that drives men crazy. It was a nice change that didn't feel unnatural at all.

favourite quote: " How hard is it to paint a pretty girl? "

             my rating: 7.5/10

            3. 'Frida'

My sister and I have always had a passion for Frida Kahlo. We love her paintings, her strength and one of the common things on our bucket lists is to visit her house, the famous 'Blue House'. So you can only imagine how we've enjoyed every minute of the wonderful movie!

favourite quotes:  " I hope the exit is joyful and I hope never to return. "
" They say never trust a limping dog or the tears of a woman. "
" Feet, what do I need you for when I have wings to fly? "

       my rating: 9/10

plans for today

This is how my day is going to look:

        Have a nice weekend!

I carry your heart, I carry it in my heart.

This week went by too fast! I can't believe my holiday is almost over. I don't even remember  doing something special these past days. I finished reading 'The Girl Who Played With Fire' and watched all the seasons of 'Friday Night Lights'.

I went to my grandma's and found this little friend who slept all day in my arms.

and tried to take some photos but they weren't very good.

                                                         *

I also watched a wonderful movie, 'Candy':

nothing will outlive this

Do you know how in the movies when outside it's pouring cats and dogs people usually stay indoors watching their favourite movies or eating way more than they were supposed to? Well, that's what I had planned for today. However, just like in the movies, plans don't always fall into place.

that's what I like wearing when I'm staying indoors.
                                 yup,shiny,comfy leggings rock.

Despite the Londonish weather,my boyfriend and I went for a drink. And we had a lot of fun. The place was empty and warm so it was hard to leave it for the cold rain.

Tonight,I plan on watching 'Magnolia' and 'Vanilla Sky'. It seems as though I'll never get tired of watching movies. Yesterday I saw 'Coco Chanel' and 'Lost In Translation' and loved them both.

drinking red wine while listening to good music.
it doesn't get better than this, does it?

Speaking of good music, this is my current obsession :

my resolutions for 2012

I know I'm a little bit late, but I've decided to write a list of resolutions because I'm sure that will help me achieve my goals easier.

So this is what I want to accomplish in 2012:

  • read 100 books
  • watch 200 movies
  • go to the gym 3 or 4 times a week
  • go running twice a week
  • ace my CAE exam
  • get my driver's licence
  • visit Barcelona
  • buy an ipod
  • gather all the loose change in my "jeux d'enfants" box
  • buy a bike
  • study human anatomy
  • see at least 10 new plays
  • attend a concert
  • do more pilates
  • write more
  • be happy

clear eyes.full hearts.

New Year's Eve has come and passed and I didn't even make a list with my New Year's resolutions. I guess that the most important thing for me is to be happy and healthy. Of course, I also want a lot of material things because even though we don't really need them, they do make life a little bit more beautiful, right? Anyways, they'll never be as important as inner peace, happiness or even time spent with the loved ones watching a great tv show or a chick flick.

Speaking of great tv shows, I'm kind of in love with one that I discovered last week: Friday Night Lights. It's been a lot since I was so hooked on a tv show quite like this. And it's not even about one of my hobbies. It's about the lives of the families from a small city in Texas, obsessed with football. Doesn't sound too great, does it? It's great, though. And if you decide to watch it,I'm sure you'll fall in love with Tim Riggins. He's my latest fictional crush. Not only does he have a great story, but he's super funny, too.

I'm a bit sad that my holiday is going by so quickly. I still feel like I have tons of things to do. And no,I'm not only talking about spending hours here. I want to be able to spend my time like I used to when I was a child : sleep, watch tv and eat delicious food. It just seems that as we grow up, time flies faster and faster.
